Aluminum 3" NPSH Barrel Strainer with Foot Valve (USA) Origin_Global Constructed of 6061-T6 aluminum seamless3 inch NPSH barrel strainer with poppet style check valve. Female threads do not swivel. NPSH is "straight pipe thread" as it seals via a gasket in the female and does not taper like NPT. A foot valve is essentially a check valve that is integrated into this aluminum barrel strainer which is attached to the inlet side (suction side) of a water suction hose to keep it from losing it's prime during the off cycle. This can drastically reduces water relay
