we think it works here and is certainly not a palette we would have invented for this completely unique floorcloth
It is smaller in scale than most floorcloth patterns and creates an interesting field from a distance with the lovely floral execution becoming apparent as you get closer to the pattern
This version of the Petal & Circle pattern employs red and gold on top of a dark cream background and uses a fish scale border from the 1800s that meets the organic sensibility of the interior pattern
depending on the size and shape of the floorcloth
The palette was inspired by Bradbury & Bradbury wallpaper
Vines & Berries Floorcloth #1 motif-custom-blue we think it works hereThis floorcloth is based on another terrific stencil from The Stencil Library. Is it Arts & Crafts or does it have more of a 70s vibe? It is somehow both organic and stylized simultaneously. The undulating vines, the leaves, the berries simple, yet complex. For us, at least, it is an enigma. The intention was to create a fairly neutral, earth toned palette. Both the vines and berries have a slight metallic wash on top of the bronze and orange bases.
