The 42" SBB and 32" BB have a gas frame door on the left side of the grill at 9: 00. (can be both sides) This burner slide in and out using the guide tubes just like the front draft door. Because it burns under the charcoal basket, it's not best used as a lighter unless you want to light for a high temperature cook. This burner works great to pre heat heat soak a very cold to frozen grill. Best used with propane LPG
